The Father of Chicago Blues – Muddy Waters would have turned 100 on the 4th of April, 2015. There are some confusion as to the year of Muddy’s birth but he used 1915 in several of his interviews and there ain’t no better source than a man in question.
Muddy Waters remains a door-buster for the Blues, a leading figure in making the world aware of the great genre and a role-model for so many of us. He was a teacher and a preacher. He preached the Blues to the world and he taught generations of cats how to play it. Mud will always remain a Father in the hearts of those who knew him and those who were inspired by his music.
Happy 100th Birthday Muddy Waters!
